Adding Appropriate Phrasal Verbs to Conversation Topics

When discussing popular topics such as - the internet, technology, travel, transport, education, health, society, music, television, hobbies, family etc. it is useful to know which phrasal verbs match each topic. If you are studying for IELTS, Cambridge, or other exams, it is particularly important that you use phrasal verbs.

We suggest you use one of our graphics (below) per week. Learn the phrases and their meanings and then put them into practice! You can practise by doing a piece of writing, chatting with an English-speaking friend or with one of our qualified native teachers at Teatime English (email us for a trial class).

Check www.facebook.com/teatimeenglishuk for more free graphics about topics and the related phrasal verbs and higher level vocabulary (see this blog post for further information on vocabulary related to popular topics).

If you want to practise using phrasal verbs, please do so in the comments below.
